for them to work .

We help individuals and teams discover more effective ways for them to work rather than trying to apply a one size fits all approach. This means that the behaviors continue in the workplace because they are natural extensions of what they were already doing.

Research suggests that managers should build strengths rather than overcome weaknesses. In a recent Forbes article, Joseph Folkman shares research, which reveals that "70-80% of leaders and employees benefit more from improving what they are doing right."

If someone is a great sales person but rubbish at management, the natural approach is to try to help the employee improve his or her management skills. A better practice is to hone this individual's sales skills.

People are less likely to make rapid progress in something they dislike doing or know they are poor at, yet we feel doing more of those actions builds a more well-rounded employee. On the contrary, as Folkman says, our strengths are what make us successful.
